Airport Connect
Airport Connect is a bus service offered by Sun Palm Transport linking Cairns Airport with the Translink public transport network at north and southbound Sheridan Street bus stops. Estimated departure time from the airport is every 30 minutes between 0430hrs and the last flight of the day.
Translink offer services to Cairns City or the Northern Beaches from Sheridan Street for a minimum cost of $2.20 for an adult single fare. Click here for Timetables.
Bus Services
The bus service in Cairns is provided by Sunbus and services the suburbs, beaches and city with nearly all routes starting at the Cairns City Mall. Running daily, the timetables for each of the 8 bus routes can be found at most hotels and bus stops, or can be downloaded from Sunbus. Prices start $2.40 – $8.20 depending on which zone area you are located in, all information can be found on the link provided.
Taxi
There are plenty of taxis available in Cairns, from all the usual places.You can generally hail one from the street but if it’s really busy you’d be better off finding a taxi rank, which will be well sign posted.
